Thai Mama is a new name, but it’s the same excellent Thai cuisine as Thai Kitchen has offered for over 20 years.
MARYLAND HEIGHTS, MO (ThaiMamaSTL) The owner of Thai Kitchen is Sasimonthon Ongartsutthikul. She started the popular Thai restaurant chain 1999 in Maryland Heights, MO. She sold the business to an unrelated individual operating independently with different values and recipes.
She has grown the Thai Kitchen chain to five locations. Living in Maryland Heights, she wants to open a location that has been successful across the region, but with an existing Thai Kitchen that she no longer creates, it can create confusion using the same name. Therefore, she will return to the community using the name “Thai Mama.”
It’s a new name but will have the same great menu and service that has made her restaurant successful.
Recently, Ongartsutthikul denounced her affiliation with the existing Thai Kitchen location.
The new location is at 1932 McKelvey Rd, Maryland Heights, MO.
Additionally, she is opening Sasi Wholesale at 1924 McKelvey Rd, which is in the same shopping center. Sasi Wholesale will offer Thai and other Asian-related food products wholesale and retail.
